About Amir
I am a 20 year old junior at the University of Maryland, College Park majoring in aerospace engineering. At the University, I have taken part in building an racing a fully autonomous hovercraft, helped launch a weather balloon to 80,000 feet and gather information and pictures on its way up, and joined the school’s AIAA chapter. I have worked for Lockheed Martin since 2008 as a web designer, content manager, mathematician, and most recently as a product support engineer for the F-16.
I have a rich background in programming and enjoy applying it to my aerospace courses and projects. I have wrote algorithms to control a hovercraft, find the best dimensions for both a bridge and beam, and to find the most efficient operation of an engine. I enjoy blending new technology with the time-tested theories of great engineers.
Outside of engineering, I enjoy driving and playing intramural sports at the university, especially football.
